Advanced Frontal Sinus Surgery
The Oslo Frontal Sinus Masterclass is a three-day course dedicated to the anatomy, imaging, planning and surgical management of the frontal sinus.
The programme combines focused lectures, case-based discussion, CT-based surgical planning and hands-on dissection, providing participants with an opportunity to explore the principles and techniques of advanced frontal sinus surgery in a structured and interactive setting.
The course is designed for ENT surgeons with an interest in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery and brings together an international faculty with extensive experience in rhinology and frontal sinus surgery.

The frontal sinus presents some of the most complex anatomy encountered in endoscopic sinus surgery. A detailed understanding of three-dimensional anatomy, CT imaging and surgical landmarks is essential for safe and effective treatment.
The Oslo Frontal Sinus Masterclass brings these elements together in a concentrated three-day programme combining focused lectures, case-based discussion, CT-based surgical planning and hands-on dissection of life-like 3D-printed anatomical models based on CT data from real patients who have previously undergone frontal sinus surgery.
From CT to Surgical Technique
A central part of the masterclass follows a stepwise approach that connects radiological anatomy, surgical planning, three-dimensional anatomy and operative technique.

Plan
Participants begin by studying the patient's CT scan and planning the surgical approach using Stryker Building Blocks. This provides the basis for understanding the individual anatomy and anticipating the surgical challenges of the case.

Dissect
The corresponding life-like 3D-printed model is then used for hands-on dissection. Participants perform the planned surgical procedure themselves, allowing them to translate the CT findings and their surgical plan into three-dimensional anatomy and technique.

Observe
The faculty then demonstrates the procedure on the same model, with the dissection projected live on a large screen. This provides an opportunity to observe surgical technique, discuss decision-making and compare different approaches directly with the participants' own dissections.

Review
Finally, the actual operative video from the corresponding patient case is reviewed. Participants can compare the anatomy, surgical plan and techniques explored during the course with the procedure performed in the real patient.
This creates a direct link between CT imaging, surgical planning, three-dimensional anatomy, live surgical demonstration and operative technique.
Throughout the course, participants work closely with the faculty to discuss anatomical variations, surgical decision-making and the technical principles of advanced frontal sinus surgery.

Across three days, the programme combines expert lectures, case-based discussion, CT-based surgical planning and hands-on training using life-like 3D-printed models. Each day integrates theoretical teaching with practical exercises, live faculty demonstrations and operative video review.
